According to the latest data from Google, only 0.3% of the active devices in the last month with the latest version of the operating system, Android Nougat, but if you have an old out there Nexus 4, you could move to be part of this elite Android.
No, it is not an official image of factory or a developer preview which includes 4 Nexus, now, but the version 14.1 cyanogenmod, based on Android Nougat 7.1 and you can already download for Nexus 4.
It is an experimental version
When a few weeks ago we mentioned the first devices for which was available CyanogenMod 14.1 already I used these nightlies Android Nougat-based were by now very green. Various classical CyanogenMod functions were not available, as the Engine issues, and expected some other error.
This 14.1 CyanogenMod for the Nexus 4 goes still further because it is the qualification of EXPERIMENTAL, that is, nothing more than a proof of concept that will continue to develop, or not, depending on how to exit the invention. Do not install it unless you know very well what you’re doing and don’t need to use the phone in your day to day, as it is expected that you will have errors.
If you want to catapult your old Nexus 4 the future (remember that it has already four years old, that do not pass in vain in the technological world) you can download the firmware 14.1 CM from the CyanogenMod downloads page. The latest official version of Android for the Nexus 4 was Android Lollipop 5.1, with version CM 13 Snapshot, based on Marshmallow.
