San FRANCISCO-Apple’s smart watch begins to be sold on Friday in the world, marking the company’s first product to be developed under the command of Chief Executive Tim Cook and after months of advertising and high level of advance orders.
Consumers can get a clock on the iPhone manufacturer in boutiques and department stores in cities such as Berlin, London, Los Angeles and Tokyo, after the Apple have promoted the product as a fashion item.
But the device will not be sold on Friday, in the Apple stores, that is driving consumers to make online orders, you should avoid queues in their stores that normally form for the launch of new models of iPhones and iPads.
The lack of lines at the Apple stores will complicate the task of assessing the demand for the watch, which comes in 38 versions with prices ranging from $349 to $10000.
Apple has not disclosed any number since I started receiving pre-orders for the device in April 10, but many consumers are being told that their watches delivery will occur within a month or more, since the production appears to be low.
Wall Street estimates on sales of Apple Watch vary widely. The FBR Capital Markets raised your estimate this week of 17 million to 20 million units, based in part on data from stock of orders.
“Our team is working to fulfill orders as quickly as possible, based on available supply and according to the orders received,” said Apple in a statement.
