Ice Cream Sandwich Already Is Present in 4.9% of Devices Android

Google just updated data of the distribution of updates What’s on Android devices that are on the market. The data that we will see below have been collected over a period of 14 days ending today, may 1.

The version that has grown in the last month has finally been Ice Cream Sandwich What of 2.9% last month to the 4,9%, all thanks to the recent updates to Samsung Galaxy SII, HTC Sensation, the Sony Ericsson Xperia range, and new terminals with this version of series.

Android Gingerbread is still the most widely used version, but it seems that its expansion will be holding back for Ice Cream Sandwich. Gingerbread has gone from 63.7% to the 64,4%, has just grown by 0.7 per cent in a month.

The versions Cupcake, Donut, and Honeycomb stagnate by repeating the same percentages of last month, 0.3%, 0.7% and 3.3% respectively. Android Eclair and Froyo are the only versions that lose points. Eclair goes from 6% to 5.5% and Froyo, the second most widely used version, passes from 23.1% to 20.9%.

If the pace of updates to Ice Cream Sandwich still a good pace, it is possible that in a few months become already the second most used Android version beating Froyo. To make it the most used version surely we have to wait to the end of the year.
