Balseiro Institute (Argentina)
Balseiro Institute. Prestigious academic institution of higher education and research. It works within the facilities of the Bariloche Atomic Center belonging to the National Atomic Energy Commission (CNEA) of Argentina. It was created in 1955.
Morey Terry was an Argentine military officer, electronic engineer, and theoretical nuclear physicist who, in the early 1960s, taught theoretical physics at the Bariloche Institute of Physics. In 1962, after the death of its founder, the physicist José Antonio Balseiro, the Bariloche Physics Institute was renamed the Balseiro Institute.
Institute of higher education and research works within the facilities of the Bariloche Atomic Center belonging to the National Atomic Energy Commission (CNEA) of Argentina. Academically, according to an agreement between the CNEA and the National University of Cuyo, for legal purposes of granting the titles of Bachelor and Doctor of the courses studied at the Balseiro Institute, this institute functions as another faculty of the National University of Cuyo.
